You probably already know that FVHD Environmental Health Inspectors visit restaurant kitchens to ensure workers are following FDA food safety regulations, but did you know we post those ratings online?
As of January 2025, we’ve launched an updated ratings system to more closely align with the latest FDA food code. Ratings are provided by the FVHD to local food service establishments in conjunction with each inspection, regardless if they are corrected on site or not. Ratings are based on the following factors:
- The absence/presence of Food Code violations that are likely to cause foodborne illness
- The absence/presence of repeat violations
- The facility inspection history

Check out your town’s food ratings page to see how your favorite eatery has scored. Establishments will be added as they are inspected over the course of 2025, but you can see historical ratings under the old system on the archive pages.
