Complaints
What We Do
The Farmington Valley Health District (FVHD) reviews complaints related to environmental and public health concerns within our jurisdiction. Each complaint is first reviewed by a Registered Sanitarian to determine if it is a public health issue and within FVHD’s authority. If so, it is assigned to an Environmental Health Inspector for investigation, and we may contact you for more information.
If the complaint is outside our jurisdiction, you will be notified and, when possible, directed to the appropriate agency such as the EPA or DEEP. FVHD may also provide relevant public health information and guidance based on the nature of the complaint.
