Public Swimming Pools
Home > Environmental >
The FVHD permits and inspects public swimming pools in the District. Examples of public pools are swimming facilities located at country clubs, hotels, schools, town recreational areas, camps and condominiums. Those facilities consist of indoor and outdoor pools, wading pools for children, whirlpool spas, and therapeutic pools. Currently, there are 56 pools regulated by the District.
During a typical inspection, FVHD inspectors check for the following:
- Adequate disinfectant levels
- Proper pH
- Good water clarity
- General cleanliness and pump maintenance
- Sufficient life saving equipment
